Nitetide was inspired to write this song by an ancient Greek love poem, 'The Statue of Eros', by Zenodotus. The poem forms the chorus and she built the verses around the main theme of the poem. The tone is dark, dramatic and builds slowly, with a cinematic sound which celebrates the drama of ancient Greek literature.
