Day 42 Of 100: Becoming Free

I had so much fun with this video, however, I'll admit it started as a drag (I mean it did take me 2 weeks). I had to release my expectations and assumptions of what a video should film and look like, and go classic by just getting crazy with it throwing buckets of paint here and there, stroking there and here... just to see what would create... and of course, I ended up in a world of magic and possibilities. The best feeling received from this project was the genuine and authentic feeling of FREEDOM (within my own art and overall). I had the ability to do, say, be and express anything I wanted. Wow! What a gift. I believe, this was the core lesson of today, day 42. After 28 years, and I am and finally feel FREE! Thank you, God. I dedicate this rough hand carved piece of art especially to those who have held and still hold my hand - back at home and those within the new lands I roam – I no longer feel lonely, I no longer go to bed crying. I have been abundantly blessed with the most exceptional family, friends and lovers. God has surpassed the levels of my cup, and I am in love. To you, my loved ones, I thank you… for your understanding, your patience and your compassion in my special journey to find and explore my name, my identity. Only you know how important and much needed this journey is to me and humanity. Only you know what I have endured to retain the awareness of myself. I thank you.

One more thing, to those who offered their arms of refugee in times of panic, anger and heartfelt explosive pain… those who have allowed me to feel total serene and comfort in the action of my vulnerability… I will always remember, I am eternally grateful as you have saved my life too many times.
