On day 4 of our motorcycle ride through Nepal and Tibet we set off from the town of Kyirong to ride further North over the Tibetan Plateau. Over the 270 kilometre long ride, we would climb from 2700 metres above sea level to over 5200 metres and then descent by about 1000 metres onto the plateau. Staying at an altitude of over 4000 metres after such a rapid climb can be taxing on the body and mind, so the day was bound to be adventurous from the get go. The Royal Enfield Himalayan felt a bit underpowered at times given the beautiful stretches of tarmac, so we would wander off, every now and then, onto the dirt beside the road just to add some excitement and thrill to the ride.

En route, we discovered the gorgeous Pai Ku Tso (Lake Pai Ku) - one of the most beautiful lakes I've ever seen yet. In fact, this lake was so extra that to this day I can't entirely believe it's real. Definitely goes down on my list of most beautiful places in the world. See it to believe it - watch the video.
