Small Boat Fishing - Netley - day and night

A lockdown compliant run out into Southampton water to make the most of a weather window before a week of predicted storms. There was no target species but I did expect an appearance from the Tings.

I have spent time fine tuning my anchor set-up and with a larger buoy (A4) and a lighter chain, I think I now have it dialled in. This was going to be my first attempt at the Alderney method at night.

I am fishing with 2 very cheap rod, reel & line setups purchased from Decathalon and at time of buying they were £34 each. For the price they obviously have their limitations but coped with the conditions on the day.
I also had my new Shakespeare ugly Stik’s, Daiwa SL30SH reels and Berkeley whiplash braid.
