Strait of Hormuz Fees: होर्मुज स्ट्रेट में फीस सिस्टम पर मंथन, अमेरिका को मंजूर नहीं | Breaking

ईरान और ओमान होर्मुज स्ट्रेट से गुजरने वाले जहाजों पर फीस वसूली के सिस्टम को लेकर बातचीत कर रहे हैं। ईरान की नई बनाई गई पर्सियन गल्फ स्ट्रेट अथॉरिटी (PGSA) ने कहा कि उसने होर्मुज स्ट्रेट के ‘मैनेजमेंट सुपरविजन एरिया’ की सीमा तय कर दी है। अथॉरिटी के मुताबिक, यहां से गुजरने के लिए परमिट जरूरी होगा। फरवरी में अमेरिकी और इजराइली हमलों के बाद ईरान ने होर्मुज स्ट्रेट में कमर्शियल ट्रैफिक लगभग रोक दिया था। इससे अंतरराष्ट्रीय शिपिंग प्रभावित हुई और ऊर्जा कीमतों में तेजी आई। इसके बाद ईरानी अधिकारियों ने इस जलमार्ग से राजस्व जुटाने के विकल्पों पर चर्चा शुरू की। अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प ने कहा कि होर्मुज स्ट्रेट अंतरराष्ट्रीय जलमार्ग है और यहां किसी तरह का टोल नहीं होना चाहिए। विदेश मंत्री मार्को रुबियो ने भी इसका विरोध किया।

Iran and Oman are currently in talks regarding a system for levying fees on vessels transiting through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's newly established Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA) has announced that it has demarcated the boundaries of the Strait of Hormuz's "Management Supervision Area." According to the Authority, a permit will be mandatory for passage through this zone. Following attacks by U.S. and Israeli forces in February, Iran had effectively halted commercial traffic within the Strait of Hormuz. This disruption impacted international shipping and triggered a surge in energy prices. Subsequently, Iranian officials began exploring options to generate revenue from this vital waterway. U.S. President Donald Trump asserted that the Strait of Hormuz is an international waterway and that no tolls of any kind should be imposed there. Senator Marco Rubio also voiced his opposition to the move.
