Shoulder strength for paragliding: Follow along with Ben Abruzzo

Ben Abruzzo is a strength and training coach with a long history in flight and coaching athletes, including many pilots. He’s helped train pilots compete for the Red Bull X-Alps, X-Pyr and cross country flying.

A regular contributor to Cross Country Magazine, his August 2020 column featured a series of exercises aimed at developing shoulder strength for paraglider pilots. It was prompted by a reader asking how he could develop shoulders that will work not only for six hours of XC flying, but also for full stalls and more aggressive manoeuvres.
