How To Make Irish Soda Bread
This is a Video Recipe is demonstrated by my mother Christina Reid who is a great cook. She is 82 years old. Irish Soda Bread is made with only a few ingredients and once you have learned how to make this Soda bread you can easily make it anytime. I find it is a healthy bread too because there are no preserving agents in it. If you make a few Soda bread at a time they can easily be quartered and frozen. When you want to eat the bread remove from the freezer and leave at room temperature for a few hours. Once unfrozen it will taste like it has just been cooked.
Irish Soda Bread Recipe

Ingredients

16 ounces of self raising white flour
1 level teaspoon of baking soda
3/4 pint of buttermilk
1 level teaspoon of salt
4 ounces of soft margarine
Small packet of sultanas or currants
