2 STITCH N' FLIP QUILT AS YOU GO BLOCKS!

Hello! In this video, I am going to show you how to make a stitch and flip tree block and bird block.

The tree block has some crazy patchwork mixed with stitch and flip. Then there is a bit of piecing for the trunk. The bird block looks like it has a lot of small pieces but it isn't too difficult as you will see. It is also a mix of quilted piecing and then stitch and flip.

Stitch and Flip is a technique in quilt as you go when you piece and quilt at the same time through the top layer, batting, and backing. It is a fun and quick method for quilting and perfect for quilt as you go.

Any of the blocks in this playlist can be made into a quilt as you go quilt, all you have to do is repeat the design and choose a joining method.

This is the last stitch and flip block in our quilt along. If you are new here, basically I am making all these stitch and flip blocks and then adding the step-by-step photos to my blog post. I started doing this as I decided I didn't want to leave my block samples from YouTube tutorials sitting around the studio. This series has been so much fun, I have been using all my scraps as we have been in lockdown here where we live in Australia.

We had a few issues with our computer this week so there are some fast-motion scenes and our editing style has changed. We have been learning and evolving through our lock down journey. However, it is all over now and we are getting a new PC built next week! YAY! So keep an eye out for more fun sewing tutorials of all kinds.
