Tundra upgraded to 5.29’s and Eaton Locker

IG: @beehivetundra

In this video I’m just recapping what I’m doing with the truck but this is not a How-To.

I removed the front and rear differentials to have them regeared to 5.29’s from the factory 4.30’s and install a Eaton E-Locker in the rear.

I did not want to fuss with air lines or solenoids with my ARB Twin and I wanted the option of instant locking ability so Eaton was my clear choice.

The install is complete, and as of this video upload I am in the process of doing the 500 mile break-in on the new gears, so I will do a follow up video of highway and road driving as well as function of the locker once I’ve gotten past the break-in point. I chose to go with 80w-90 conventional gear oil from Valvoline for the break in and will be switching to synthetic 75w-90 after I drain the oil.

I want to give a thank you to Geoffrey at Agility Customs for handling the gear set-up on my differentials and for his efficiency and communication. He had my gears ready about 24 hours after I dropped them off.
