A very to scale Pikmin video (Pikmin Size Comparison)

I measured these myself so there could be new lore here...

‘Forest of Hope’ Full Remix: https://youtu.be/5ZeWUieX3JM
and ‘Today’s Results’ Full Remix: https://youtu.be/6S5Pb7v2fAo

Remixes by @BlueBrewMusic, they have loads of great remixes including more Pikmin ones so check them out!!

I’m not sure if any of these are canon, but these are the literal sizes of things in-game when compared to Olimar, who without his suit is 1.9cm / 0.75 inch, which I learned from reading the manual.

Any real-world stuff in the video is based on its real-world size to make the size of the Pikmin stuff more relatable.

Usually 'length' includes everything (nose to tail), which is why some enemies seem smaller than what it says. Bearded Amprat for example has a pretty long tail you can't really see in the video.
Yay, Fun Stuff…

Most of the real-world things can be found in Pikmin 2, 3, Hey Pikmin, and 4.

The cans use the texture for Pikmin 2’s ‘Utter Scrap’ treasure (which is a crushed can).

The pink trainers are based on the 'Repugnant Appendage' (pink baby shoe) from Pikmin 2, except the wearer is all grown up now. For reference they are woman’s size 8 US / euro 38-39 / UK 6, the average size for women’s shoes apparently.

The room is based on the room in the opening cinematic of Smash Bros 64.

The 'Pikmin' models come from their most recent game up to Pikmin 3.

More details for the serious fans…

Mushroom Pikmin are actually 2.7cm (1.2in), I wanted to keep consistency though which is why I gave all Pikmin a 'leaf height' in the video.

Character heights without suits:
Alph – 1.6cm / 0.64 inch (according to wiki)
Britanny – 1.7cm / 0.7 inch (compared to Alph, assuming their suits are the same height)
Olimar - 1.9cm / 0,75 inch (Pikmin 1 manual)
Charlie – 1.9 cm / 0.77 inch (according to wiki)
President - 2.1cm / 0.8 inch (comparing to Olimar in Pikmin 2)
Louie – 2.3cm / 0.89 inch (comparing to Olimar in Pikmin 2)

(I wasn't able to compare Alph and Charlie to Olimar so I went with their Pikmin Wiki sizes.)

I think the Doodlebug Fly is the smallest species (0.4cm height). There are flies in Pikmin 1 that I measured to be about 0.3cm (length), but as they're only dots it’s hard to compare them. The Doodlebug Fly is technically a smaller dot (0.2 cm) but with wings and limbs. Let me know if there is an even smaller creature I forgot about though...

Most of these (particularly for Pikmin 1 + 2) came from capturing 3D models during gameplay, which included everything that was on-screen at the time, including Olimar. Then the entire model was resized so the Olimar was the correct 1.9cm, and the other stuff was then measured.

The heights for the spider-like enemies is from the floor, to the highest point... so the 'knees'?
