Husqvarna 572xp vs Stihl ms462c-mr "Grudged" Match!!!

And a happy New Year to all!
In the ongoing saga of the Ford versus Chevy debate, here we have another looksee of the 572xp going head to head with the ms462.
To make sure the saw-off is as equal as possible, seen sporting the same 32" b & c. Appeared as though the 462 is pretty close the 572 in this session where it was ~ 2 seconds faster last summer. I viewed the 462 through the full 10th and 28 seconds of the 11th minute. The 572 comes in about ½ way through the 42nd second of the 3rd minute and about ½ way through the 1st second in the 4th minute.
There are a few reasons why that is so from my perspective. #1, I did a little tweak on the exhaust on the 462 back in November. #2, I increased the air flow to the air cleaner in the 462 with the added holes easily seen. Both of these are working to the benefit of the 462 and upped the anté for sure. #3, the 572 took the cut closer to the butt of the tree where the wood is a little bit tougher. And finally, the 462 is definitely broken in fully with around 20/25 days and ~ 450k under its’ belt with the 572 having maybe, best case scenario, 8/10 after I took a look at the day sheets.
We also notice the weird readings on the tach as I tried a couple of different ideas and a mode change to the tach itself.
It is VERY important to also note that the 572 is down in displacement over 1.6cc. That's a pretty big differential in a piston ported chainsaw engine with all things being equal. With any luck I will get the okay to increase the air flow to the filter in the 572 and make another run against the arch rival 462.
