The Most Unsafe Area of Downtown Seattle? City Cleans Up in Preparation for Reopening

Seattle is a beautiful city, but every beautiful city probably has its ugly parts. When people talk about the worst area of Downtown Seattle, 3rd Ave & James St. in Pioneer Square by the King County Court House often comes up. Drugs, crime, etc. you name it, this area has got it. In this video I give a walking tour of that area as well as neighboring 2nd Avenue where you would usually find a lot of tents and the homeless population.

Watch this video to see what things look like in this area in late May 2021 as the City of Seattle prepares to reopen. I was surprised by how much clean up has been done in parts of the city. It's been a while since I've seen Pioneer Square this clean. Perhaps we really are heading back to normal?
