William S. Wooton - the Indiana 19th Century King of Desks

To honor the local Indiana woodworker, William Wooton, is a privilege. In 1870, he created desks that contained over 100 departments. It had an overall space of 40" by 40" by 14". These desks were sold to industrialists, politicians, and even to Queen Victoria. This is a tribute of his accomplishments.

To quote Yael Ksander, you would "turn a key in the lock on the front of cabinet secretary opened it like a butterfly. to reveal a warren of nooks and crannies on each wing and behind the hinged desk surface, which would be raised to the horizontal plane for use."

The video is one of the tributes to my woodworking heroes by Hoosierwoodcraft
