Police say the 21 year old Lauren McCluskey was gunned down Monday night by her former boyfriend, 37 year old Melvin Rowland, who later ki*led himself

Rowland is a parolee, a registered s*x offender, and he had a family. But McCluskey apparently didn’t know that when she recently dated him

The University of Utah security received a call from a woman who requested help for her daughter, and she also explained what prompted her to make the call. Her daughter was a student at the university, and was at risk because of a man she dated.

But even after alerting the authorities, she couldn’t save her daughter.

Twenty one year old Lauren McCluskey was a young, ambitious woman. She was a student at the University of Utah. She was a singer, dancer, and a successful track and field athlete. She excelled at almost everything she took part in. But her dreams were crushed brutally on October 22, 2018 in the parking lot of her campus.
