Blackstone Singers Tribute to Porcupine Singers - 2021

The Porcupine Singers are a legendary, world champion drum group from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. They have greatly influenced the powwow world, paving the way for many more drum groups to follow, while leaving behind a beautiful legacy for generations to come.

On February 24, 2021, the Blackstone Singers paid tribute to the Porcupine Singers via the virtual Social Distance Powwow on Facebook Live, sharing classic Porcupine Singers' songs and the sharing of stories from the Blackstone Singers' lead singer Terry Paskemin.
