3D Models for Adobe Dimension
https://bit.ly/37Xg8LC
This video is for designers who are unfamiliar with 3D software and looking for a tool to mock up scenes and graphic design. Adobe Dimension is a simpler interface to use and consistent with its series of Illustrator and Photoshop programs versus having to learn a new 3D interface and shortcuts. If you already know how to use a 3D program, then please skip this video. You'll get a much better quality rendering from a 3D program if you're savvy.
*Also, yes, I apologize - I recorded this late one evening and I have two young children, so my voice is especially low and monotone.
0:00 Use a reference photo & draw the left half of the container in Illustrator
2:50 Paste the vector object into Photoshop
3:08 Go to 3D, New 3D Extrusion from Selected Layer
3:25 Use the preset to revolve around the right side axis
4:00 Adjust the Extrusion Depth to not quite 0 (make sure there's no hole)
8:55 If container has multiple parts, merge 3D layers to keep objects together
9:14 In Properties panel, check box to remove hidden Backfaces
9:25 Export 3D layer as .OBJ
9:50 In Dimension, import your .OBJ
10:10 'F' key will center your imported object into view
10:25 Select each part and add materials and/or decals
16:25 Bonus - add liquid to the container
