*Backstory:*

When I upgraded to get an extra SSD for data storage, I did not know (at the time) that there were different sizes of the M.2 NVMe SSD "cards". The one I bought was a size 2230, but my laptop can only accomodate a 2280. I had the 2280 thermal plate, however, and a Dell technician installed both, using the thermal plate to keep the 2230 in place.

Obviously, this was not a good idea—I was afraid the 2230 will slip out somehow. I needed to secure it somehow, so I trawled the internet and found an extender bracket for my use.

Because I was opting to install the bracket myself so I do not have to pay for the technician service, I also bought an ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Field Service Kit (something I saw the technician had with him), and additional mounting screws (just in case some of the screws have gotten worn out, which proved to be prophetic).

I couldn't find any videos on how to do this properly for my model (just pictures and diagrams online), so I thought I'd record the process.
