We have a very entertaining, inspirational and informative program planned for you. Expect 91.9 The Street FM Radio Personality and Activist, Isha Wells as Mistress of Ceremonies. Be enlightened by the inspiring and powerful Roxanne Muhammad, our feature speaker. Enjoy a fashion show highlighting African-inspired clothing by fashion designer , Derron Attzs of San Fernando Fashion Week fame. Be entertained by the Nigerian Dance Troupe and Special Guest, Trinidad & Tobago Reggae Songstress Kushite and much more.

Theme Concept – The village is the centre of African life, everyone of us comprises the village/community and all the villages/communities, in turn comprise the nation.

When each of us unite, we can take back or reclaim our villages/communities one by one and thus take back our nation. We are “taking back” our village/community/nation from disunity, apathy(not being our brother’s keeper), crime, juvenile delinquency, racism and any other social ill which affects our village/community and the African family.

Aims of the Event –
1. To pay respect to our Ancestors in a manner befitting the dignity and significance of the occasion.
2. To showcase our talent and highlight our culture.
3. To inspire, motivate and educate African people about our innate strengths.
4. To establish an annual Emancipation celebration in San Fernando
