Omar Epps | 30 Year Acting Career, Dominating The '90s & From Fatherless To Fatherhood

Brooklyn born actor Omar Epps may have grown up in an environment filled with crack and crime but, he never let it define him. He would later admit that the peer pressure to get involved in those things was real but, he was fortunate to have a group of friends who were cut from the same cloth, in the sense that they had their own aspirations and dreams just like him. They looked out for one another and held each other accountable if one of them started to veer down a negative path. His mother, who did her best to bring Omar up on her own after his father left following their divorce, was also a very positive influence.
While in middle school, Omar would have an experience that would further push him to achieve his goal of being a professional actor.
