How To Enter Dates In the TI BA II Plus Calculator - Tutorial

The TI BA II Plus displays dates in two formats; European and U.S.

The U.S. format appears as follows: MM-DD-YY
The European format appears as follow: DD-MM-YY

Changing the formats can be done with the following keystrokes:

2nd then FORMAT (Also labeled as the Decimal button) then the down arrow 2 times.

The date format screen should appear as:

US 12-31-1990 or EUR 31-12-1990

Once you have reached the date format screen changing the date format can be done with the following keystrokes:

2nd then SET (Also labeled as the ENTER button). You can then toggle between the two date formats.

Once you are in one of the calculator's worksheets you enter the date in the following format: 1.0118. Then press ENTER. In the U.S. format the date will display as 1-01-2018. While in the U.S. format, be mindful the month does not need a 0 before a single digit. However, the day does need a 0 before a single digit.

For the European format you enter the date with the day first then the month. For example, April 22nd 2018 would be entered as: 22.0418.
