**MY WILD HOLM S4 Ep2*🌲 Season 4 Starts Now — This trip back to the Island was pretty rough, but a wonderful surprise awaits! 🚤

Season 4 begins on our remote island in BC! Watch how our off grid living adventure kicks off!

After months away, we’re back on our remote island homestead to launch a brand new season of Off Grid Living. From ferry drama (propane tank limits 😅) to last-minute fixes, we hustle our way toward that first barge landing—because this is where life truly begins again.

🧭 *The Journey & Jitters:*
We race to the ferry (twice!), juggle propane rules, and make it aboard as the last vehicle. Along the way we meet amazing subscribers, fuel up, and share road stories—plus a handmade vanilla-leaf air freshener from *Greg Ovens* that now lives in the cabin. 🙌

⚙️ *Logistics on Overdrive:*
A spring road ban means only 50% GVW, so we track down a bigger trailer to move Pepper, our Kubota track loader. Crates keep every supply secure, and a subscriber (thanks, Colin!) fabricates a slipper to move the chipper and mill. It’s all about self reliance and smart barge logistics.

🔑 *Small Miracles & Firsts:*
Remember those lost truck keys from last season? We actually found them! Can you believe it?! Caked with rust like artifacts from the Titanic... unreal. The barge needs a boost (thank you, AVAPOW jump pack), fog delays our start, and then… our first fire of the season inside the cabin. 🔥

🦫 *Island Check-In:*
High water, lingering frost, beaver activity on trembling aspen, a mystery critter that shredded tea lights (note to self: cover the fresh air intake for the incinerator toilet!), and the greenhouse and array still standing. The island waited for us. 🌊🌲

🚜 *Pepper to the Rescue:*
Pepper makes the heavy work possible—Opal’s very heavy doghouse included. We button-rock a tarp (when grommets fail), wrangle ramps, and shift crates with Pepper until the deck sits level in the water.

👋 *A Beautiful Encounter:*
We meet Beverly, who grew up on *“Bird Island.”* She shares how her family rafted that old Land Rover over on a log barge decades ago. Her stories connect our present to the island’s past—and remind us why we honor the name Bird Island. 💚

🪵 *What’s Next:*
Homestead setup ramps up: custom scaffolding for safety, sawmill projects coming soon, and a push to winter-proof for a future cold-weather test. This season is about building smarter, living simpler, and letting the wilderness shape our days.
