I'm going nuts...AGAIN! (Browning Recon Force Advantage) (best at 1080p)

Read description please:

Before I even start: Yes, full batteries, cards tested, normal weather, everything in perfect working order... except the camera.

As my other camera suddenly decided only to save videos intermittently, and some nights none at all (it's less than 2 years old), I switched the cams. This one (bought August 2020) has been sitting in 'the pasture' where there might be traffic, or there might not. In other words, I will have no clue whether the camera is doing what it's supposed to, or not.

I moved this camera into the feeding area on the 30th of April. Since then I've gotten extraordinarily little footage. The martens would come in late and not stay long. It was very hard to put a finger on what was going on, until last night when the camera's actions (or lack thereof) became blatantly clear. Instead of taking 'normal' series of videos (2-3 20sec videos per minute), it was taking ONE video per 2-3 minutes (early in the night 23:23). Later in the night (02:19) it did take a short normal row of videos. And yes, the camera is set to 1sec intervals.

Is this unique? Is this the first time? Sadly, no. I've been fighting these kinds of problems for 2 years now. Going through 6 different cameras (purchase and replacements) I ended up with 2 of them 'sort of working'. Except now this one isn't. And each time I get the same story, 'never seen that before', and 'everybody else are perfectly happy with theirs'.. basically subtly suggesting that I'm the idiot here.

I DO hear from 'everybody else' how great these cameras work. Problem with that statement is, most people hang their cameras somewhere to see 'what might happen to pass by'. They will have no clue if they miss footage or not, they will just assume that nothing came by.

And let's not even discuss the fact that while Cam 3 is generally more even in image quality, though less sharp overall... Cam 6 is much sharper, but only in the middle of the image.

Frankly, these cameras are not cheap, and at least some regular reliable functionality should be expected. Apart from more or less the same standard of image quality from camera to camera, which isn't the case either.

And every time the cameras malfunction, I lose data, which is important to me. I'm just so sick and tired of this!
