Tappin' Toes With The Middle School Jazz Band

POTTSTOWN PA - Most jazz bands are limited to only a dozen or so players. Not at the Pottsgrove Middle School, director Kathy Williams noted Thursday night (May 13, 2010). More than 30 students said they wanted to participate this year, and every one of them got the chance.

Williams explained to an audience in the auditorium at the school, on North Hanover Street, Pottstown PA, that if students were willing to attend practice at 7:30 a.m. on a school day, she'd be the last to deny them the opportunity. The appreciative crowd burst into applause.

The Jazz Band joined the middle School concert band and its wind ensemble in performances during the school's annual spring concert.
