Here is a video i wanted to do comparing the classic akai mpc 2000xl vs the new mpc one and how it holds up when it comes down to making some sampled based hip hop beats the mpc 2000xl beat making workflow is very slow and outdated but it still holds its place in boombap hip hop beat making. the sound the mpc 2kxl produces is unmatched and extremely powerfull when it comes to getting that lofi boombap beatmaking sound. I still recommend getting a mpc 2kxl if you are looking for that grimy punchy lofi hiphop sound for your beatmaking experience.
