My seizure dog: Evan Moss at TEDxSouthCapitolSt

Evan Moss is a 9-year-old boy with tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) and epilepsy. Evan is a precocious young boy who loves to make people laugh and enjoys writing. When the decision was made to get a service dog to help Evan, his sister Aria suggested using Evan's book, My Seizure Dog, as a fundraiser. His family self-published the book and Evan began his unique approach to raise the funds to have a service dog trained specially for him. He raised almost $50,000 for 4 Paws for Ability and helped several additional children complete their fundraising goals.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
