We Tried & We Failed!!!

Sometimes when you try you fail. And that's exactly what happened when we tried yet again to spend the weekend at Blake Island on the Orca in mid-January. Nestled less than 10 miles west of downtown Seattle and directly south of Bainbridge Island, Blake Island is a tranquil getaway that offers terrific moorage (that is when you can get there in time), groomed hiking trails, beaches, Tillicum Village and best of all wild deer that will eat right from the palm of your hands. Hopefully next time we'll get lucky and beat to the crowd to experience all that Blake Island has to offer.
