Chain Boosting FAQ
Q: What happens if I don’t chain my boosts correctly?
A: If boosts aren’t chained properly, you’ll hear a distinctive backfire sound A correctly chained boost won’t produce this sound after the first initial boost.
Q: Can I reach top speed by chaining Level 1 boosts?
A: Yes, but only with certain characters. Perfectly chaining Level 1 boosts can eventually get you to top speed, but it’s inefficient for characters with longer drift or charge times. Some characters can’t chain from Level 1 at all, making it better to start chaining from a Level 2 or 3 boost.
Q: Can I extend a Level 3 boost by chaining another Level 3?
A: No, a Level 3 boost instantly propels you to top speed, but it cannot be chained with another level 3 to extend its duration. Since the charge window is longer than the boost duration, you’ll need to chain a Level 1 boost afterward to extend the boost window (boost chaining) and maintain your highest speed.
