Poetry: I Gazed

I gazed at the expanse of the sky, striving to reach my lofty dreams,
Don’t know when my feet landed in a puddle,
I feel shackles in my feet and clouds in my head,
As if my dreams are caught in a muddle.
Yet, in the midst of this storm, I find a spark,
A glimmer of hope in the shadows so dark,
With every step, though heavy and slow,
I gather strength from the seeds I sow.
For every puddle, there’s a rainbow’s end,
A promise of light where the skies descend,
I’ll break these shackles, clear the clouds away,
And rise once more to greet the day.
Beneath the whispering trees and skies so blue,
I’ll find my path where the wildflowers grew.
With dreams reborn and courage anew,
I’ll chase the stars and see them through.
