With an 8th house north node and a 2nd house south node, the fragmentation of your soul lies in your need to hang on to old value systems, maybe that of a past life that no longer serves your authenticity.
With North Node in the 8th house, the soul falls easily into a pattern of building security based on ownership; ownership of objects, people, ideas, and ultimately a value system. This ofcourse will give assurance that you’ll ‘survive’ in the world, no doubt about it, but life is about a balance of opposites. Material security can’t compensate for inner security. And THAT is the test of your life. So eventhough you may feel comfortable in your periods of indulgences, submerging your 5 senses fully into life, you still feel discontent and your soul slowly begins to decay. Because you with North Node in the 8th house are here in this life to learn to integrate your soul back together through a process of regenerating internal stability and security, which requires first a death of YOUR outdated modes of security and a rebirth through a series of circumstances in which you’ll have to be submerging yourself into the value systems of other people.

The 8th house is the house of transformation through the transcendence of pain the 2nd house is the house of self-sufficiency through acquiring assets based on your values.

With North Node in the 8th house it would be a good idea to surrender to the intimate moments in life in order to discover what other people value. And how can you do that? This is very interesting, first of all, life may present you with sexual experiences that push the limits of your emotional and psychological strength. Embrace it. Life may present you with times of lack, meaning that you may lose your possessions for one reason or another, and this is also a test of the limits of your emotional and psychological strength. With North Node in the 8th house embrace that too. The underlying human need for sex without reproduction, is a psychological one. It may be for self-esteem, to feel worthy, or to feel loved.
