Because the brand is based on shapewear, most of the loungewear is designed to be very fitted and for the waistbands to snatch you. I usually wear a Medium in tops and bottoms, and in Skims Cotton Rib I wear a L or XL in the boxers and a 2XL in the tanks because I want the waistbands to be non-binding and the tops to be super relaxed for sleeping.
