1️⃣ Compass Box (কম্পাস বক্স)
Function:
Main circular metallic body of the compass
Protects internal parts and supports the magnetic system
2️⃣ Magnetic Needle / Graduated Ring (চৌম্বক সূচক / গ্র্যাজুয়েটেড রিং)
Function:
Indicates magnetic north direction
Shows bearing in degrees (0°–360°)
3️⃣ Prism (প্রিজম)
Function:
Magnifies and helps read graduations while sighting
Allows simultaneous sighting and reading
4️⃣ Object Vane / Sight Vane (অবজেক্ট ভেন)
Function:
Used to aim at the object or target
Contains a slit and hairline for accurate alignment
5️⃣ Eye Vane (আই ভেন)
Function:
Used to look through prism while taking reading
6️⃣ Lifting Pin (লিফটিং পিন)
Function:
Lifts magnetic needle when not in use
Prevents damage during transport
7️⃣ Brake Pin / Stop Pin (ব্রেক পিন)
Function:
Stops needle movement for accurate reading
8️⃣ Glass Cover (গ্লাস কভার)
Function:
Protects internal parts from dust and damage
9️⃣ Tripod Stand / Socket (ট্রাইপড সকেট)
Function:
Connects compass with tripod for stable measurement
