How To Replace The Philips/ BenQ Drive Laser For Xbox 360 (Fat Model ) - "Open Tray" Error

How to replace the DVD drive laser for the Fat model Xbox 360 with the Philips/ BenQ drive. I initially tried to clean the lens using a cotton swap and some isopropyl alcohol which made no difference, then tried adjusting the laser potentiometer which yielded mixed results. I made the decision to replace the laser with one I purchased off of eBay, and the "Open Tray" error was fixed!

This was the first how-to video I made about 2 years ago during the pandemic lockdown, I finally decided to dust it off and upload it. I had to correct a few errors and it’s super cringe, but hopefully it’s useful to someone.

P.S. don’t be like me and use a magnetic screwdriver on electronics (I use it for literally everything, but it can be a good way to brick a circuit board).
