Blinking Joule Thief: 5 Year Update

I built this blinking joule thief circuit over 5 years ago and it has been blinking away ever since. When I built this device the battery voltage started out at 1.600 Volts and now, 5 years later, it has dropped to 1.354 V. I will continue to do updates on this project as time goes on.
