Unfortunately only 15 episodes of Murder by Experts, this short-lived but excellent mystery show, survive to this day.

The 'experts' in this case were well-known mystery novelists of the day upon whose stories and books the episodes were based. Although well-executed otherwise regarding acting and directing, the shining star is the excellent plotting and storytelling, full of drama and suspense with twists and turns thrown in for good measure.

Hosted first by John Dickson Carr and then Brett Halliday, both famous mystery writers at the time, the show aired from 1949 through 1951.
