DeMarco Murray LEAVES OU for Chiefs! Good or Bad #shorts

On his birthday, it was announced that DeMarco Murray is leaving the University of Oklahoma to become the running backs coach for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Legend? Absolutely.
Great Sooner? No doubt.
Huge part of OU history? 100%.

But here’s the hard truth…

OU hasn’t had dominant 1,000-yard rushing seasons in recent years. The running game hasn’t looked like classic Oklahoma football.

This isn’t about disrespect.
This is about results.

Sometimes change is good for everyone.

Murray may thrive in the NFL. He’s smart. He’s young. He’s got a future as a coordinator — maybe even a head coach one day.

But if OU wants to get back to championship-level football, it has to rediscover a dominant run game.
