Rapture in the Bible
The Rapture in the Bible is a popular idea, especially in 20th century Christian denominations.
But is the Rapture in the Bible... well, really in the Bible? In Matthew 24, Jesus speaks of a time when people will be "taken" from the fields or "grinding at the mill," while others will be "left."
What is Jesus speaking about here? Is he speaking of some secret rapture, or is this event about a different event, namely, Jesus' second coming? What can the context lead us to conclude about this concept of the Rapture in the Bible, especially from the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 24?
To learn more about this passage in Matthew 24 where Jesus comments about his Second Coming (and its connection with the separation of the righteous from the wicked in the days of Noah), along with the connection between it, the Responsorial Psalm, and the Old Testament reading for this Sunday's Mass, subscribe today to The Mass Readings Explained:
