Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey Pure Nectar Review
Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey Pure Nectar Review

Another new release for 2018 is the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum. There seems to be a bit of a trend developing here! I have to admit from the start I was not a fan of the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey or the yearly 'special editions'. However I hold my hands up and say, this one is rather good!
The L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar has a simple yet beautiful perfume bottle, designed to represent a drop of water falling from a flower. It is rather elegant. The juice contained is a beautiful rose gold colour. Very simple, very beautiful and very effective.
The fragrance was designed by Fanny Bal and Dominique Robion and is classed as a 'floral woody'. The original L'Eau d'Issey was intended as a fresh, simple alternative following those heavy scents and fragrances of the 1980's. Something that would suggest the scent of water on a woman or man's body.
I must say that customers familiar with, but disliked, L'Eau d'Issey is pleasantly surprised that the Pure Nectar is indeed from Issey Miyake.
When first applied the L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar is fresh but quite sweet with top notes of sweet pear and honey. The heart of this parfum keeps the freshness going with rose absolute and water accords. The base contains cashmeeram, a synthetic which is rather complex lending a musky amber note to this fragrance, ambergris and sandalwood. As the fragrance dries down it transcends through the rose into a soft, powdery base which lingers on your skin.
Wearing the fragrance, I did find it lasted around three to four hours on the skin before I refreshed the fragrance, but I do prefer a fragrance that lasts and is more pronounced.
I do recommend giving the Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Pure Nectar de Parfum a try, please let me know if you were as surprised as I was by this fragrance?
