Short Film "Bleached Bones Avenue" Trailer

Story : The local Zomis live deep inside the mountain near the border of India and Myanmar. Early morning, in the former battlefield of the WW2, they set off to dig for the bones of the Japanese Soldiers.

Introduction : The team of feature film "Passage of Life(2017, Japan-Myanmar coproduction," which depicts the life of Burmese family living in Japan received 5 international awards, and went to more than 30 film festivals, reunites to tackle what WW2 meant to later-generations of locals and Japan. In Myanmar, there was notorious "Battle of Imphal," the reckless fight that lost more than 60, 000 Japanese soldiers and involved many local people, in mainly north and west part of the country. This time we focused on Chin state, Myanmar.

Information :
During World War 2, the Japanese and British army's clashes intensified.
The entire country became a battlefield, and civilians were swept up in the carnage. In 2013, the restrictions on foreigners entering Chin State were lifted,
and the Japanese government led efforts to reclaim the remains of fallen soldiers there began. The local Zomi people have been working on extracting the remains
of the fallen ever since.
