☆☆☆☆☆ FAQ ☆☆☆☆☆
Q: Why are some sounds silent despite having a normal label (not DUMMY)?
A: Even some of the properly labeled sounds are dummies, despite not looking like them. Internally they do not reference any sound data and thus, play no sound.
Q: Why are some sounds weirdly pitched?
A: The game sometimes will manually set the pitch of a sound based on a changing variable, or just a fixed number. This player cannot account for all of them, so the sounds you are hearing are all at 1.0 pitch (default).
Q: Why is there a loading sequence after each category?
A: We can't fit all of SMG2's sound effect files into the limited Audio RAM. This approach makes sure all required sounds for a category can be loaded into the Wii's memory.
Q: Are all of these sounds used in SMG2?
A: No, actually! Many of them are either SMG1 leftovers or straight up unused. If you spot any of them, feel free to point them out with a timestamp in the comments.
Q: Are you gonna make a video about all sounds from SMG1 as well?
A: It's currently unlikely due to how different the audio systems are between the two games.
