Meet my tanks #5 - the 1/6 scale M/39

After my 1/6 scale RSO, I thought i was time build something more traditionally tanky again. I wanted something unusual, not too big and a bit faster. It was time to introduce a swedish tank.

The Strv (Stridsvagn, or tank) M/39 was the second iteration of the Landsverk L60, a light tank introduced in 1938 as the M/38. For its time, it was fairly modern, with a 37 mm gun, welded hull and torsion bar suspension. It was powered by a 6 cylinder Scania petrol engine.
The M/38 was updated to the M/39, and by 1940 once again to the M/40. The design was largely the same, but some changes were made to the turret as well as to the level of armour.

The M/39 never saw action, but Hungary produced the L60 under license as the Toldi light tank, and it took part in the fighting on the eastern front.
