New Stitch - Learn the Double Seed Stitch in Tunisian Crochet *Pattern & Tutorial*

Mimic the lovely knit double seed stitch with this version in Tunisian crochet!

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
-Foundation forward and return pass
-Tunisian Knit stitch (tks)
-Tunisian Purl stitch (tps)
-Binding off for the double seed stitch
-Making a tassel
-Finishing your Tunisian crochet work

DOUBLE SEED STITCH MUG RUG PATTERN (can be worked over any even number of stitches)
Foundation Row, Forward: Chain 16 stitches and pull up loops in each.
Foundation Row, Return: Chain 1. *Yarn over and pull through two loops. Repeat from * until you have only 2 loops on your hook.
Pattern Rows 1 & 2: Tks, tps. Repeat across. Complete last stitch as Tunisian simple stitch.
Pattern Rows 3 & 4: Tps, tks. Repeat across. Complete last stitch as Tunisian simple stitch.
Return Pass (for all rows) : Chain 1. *Yarn over and pull through two loops. Repeat from * until you have only 2 loops on your hook.

*Repeat Rows 1-4 3 total times. Then, complete Rows 1 & 2. Bind off.
Bind off: Tps, yarn over, pull through both loops on hook. Tks, yarn over pull through both loops on hook. Repeat this to last stitch. Complete last stitch as Tunisian simple stitch. Yarn over and pull through both loops on hook. Cut yarn and pull loop up and out of work.
Finishing: Make a short tassel and weave a wooden bead onto the top. Attach tassel to a corner of your mug rug. Secure with a knot. Weave in all ends and block lightly if desired.
