Vernon Oxford is one of those artists with a voice that sends shivers up the spines of true country music lovers...
...and, when he's stepping out with a sad, mournful Country Gospel song, the pleasure just multiplies.

This wonderfully sad little number is from Vernon's 1981 LP, "A Better Way Of Life".
It was re-issued on the excellent Bear Family CD Collection, "Keeper Of The Flame"
