This project was funded by TREE Fund's Hyland R. Johns Endowment Research Grant Program. Tree injection is an effective method for preserving ash trees against the emerald ash borer. This study investigated the effects of long-term injection over 4 to 5 injection cycles. We found minimal internal damage to the wood tissue when examining wood discoloration. The study suggests long-term tree injection is a viable option for emerald ash borer management.
