The Green Anaconda is a member of the boa family. They are native to South America and are the largest species of snake in the world. They can grow to reach more than 29 ft (8.8 m) in length. They can weigh more than 550 pounds (227 kg). The average weight of a man is only between 76 and 83 kg. This means that anacondas can grow to be nearly twice the weight of an average human.
