*Note: This is a 15 minute example set of a performance I would do at a restaurant, event or venue with a Middle Eastern motif. I have been practicing and doing my other classes in ballet and stretch as well as some heels so this is an updated version of my style when I was performing before. I started studying Middle Eastern Dance when I was roughly 15 years old- it was my first dance form that I really studied and began teaching when I was around 17, then my students kept getting jealous and leaving me or another teacher would swoop into my class, stealing my weak students. My classes kept getting smaller but I was getting stronger. I then taught private classes in Middle Eastern but started a classical dance major in a community college intensively studying and taking class for up to 6 hours per day in hope of landing an opportunity in a company, tour or show but no one ever connected me to the right people.

I eventually began auditioning for arts collectives such as independent cirque and performing at a resturant again but was being gatekept because of denying sexual solicitation and avoiding trafficking on the events scene. I eventually stopped Middle Eastern Dance all together and focused on classical dance and my top reason was concerns involving being in danger with the Middle East and war against women, femicide. Men from the Middle East started approaching me where I performed.

I will tell you while I haven't directly studied with or met all the greats I have seen some the best live and I have studied them from home. I have met many other high profile dancers including Ansuya, Rachel Brice, Jill Parker and more.

I have incorporated and mastered several skills into my routines such as veils and balancing objects such as bronze containers. I have also performed with live drummers.
