How to make hand painted watercolor fantasy maps

Enjoy this time lapse video on how I go about making watercolor maps. This is my own world of Tumeria and this map shows the kingdom of the Esari Elves.

This is a 9x12 piece of 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper.

I’ve painted this with M. Graham paints. And inked with airship notebook’s autoquill fine line pens. I also use copic markers and a white Jelly Roll pen for shading and highlights.
