Four-Bar Linkage Simulation in ANSYS Workbench Rigid Dynamic FEA Tutorial
Description:
This video provides a demonstration of a complete Rigid Dynamic simulation of a four-bar linkage mechanism using ANSYS Workbench. The workflow applies the Rigid Dynamics module to evaluate the kinematic behavior of the mechanism and measure the angular displacement of the rocker link.
Key steps include:
Building the four-bar mechanism with defined link lengths (crank, coupler, rocker, and ground).
Applying revolute joints to model realistic mechanical connections.
Prescribing a 30° rotational input to the crank link.
Simulating the system to obtain the resulting angular displacement of the rocker link from the horizontal.
Visualizing the final configuration of the mechanism.
This demonstration clearly shows how to use ANSYS Workbench Rigid Dynamics to analyze the motion of mechanical linkages.
