Lets Build Twitter From the Ground Up: Episode 293 || Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL and React

Building large scale application is more difficult than many people understand or expect. Join me in this long running series where I set out to duplicate one of the most popular social media platforms ever creating using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, PostgreSQL data, React JS web application framework and more.

In this episode, we build out the CommunitiesSuggested page to power the discovery experience, rendering either suggested communities or randomized posts depending on the active tab and search state. We wire the component to Redux with new async thunks for initializing suggested communities and performing community search queries, along with reducers to manage loading, search state, and dynamic results. We then extend the slice to support live searching and integrate category filtering directly into the suggested view. Finally, we enhance the CommunitiesTopBar to support contextual search behavior, including search activation, clearing results, and conditional UI rendering, completing the full discovery and search workflow for Communities.
