Jodorowsky's Dune deleted scenes (Japanese / French DVD)

The Japanese and French editions of Jodorowsky's Dune included 6 additional deleted scenes which were not on the North American DVD (which had 9). Some of the dialog here is in French or Spanish which I have roughly translated from the Japanese subtitles. The text of the translations is in its scene in the scene list below. Run times are also approximate.

Chris Foss's Colors 1:25

Foss vs Vignau 3:53
Vignau: People say many things, but actually it was a coffee mug.

Regarding Charlotte Rampling 1:44
Jodorowsky: Among actors, many actors wanted to be in it. Only one person turned it down, a French actress. Charlotte Rampling. The parts she had played previously were very good. She is woman with a powerful mind. I wanted her to play the princess. She’s not a feeble woman. A strong woman was needed. I felt she had that grounding. Amongst the characters, there is a man named The Beast Rabban. He is an extraordinarily rough, boorish soldier. A fearsome person. He leads troops. “The Beast Rabban!” In order to insult Leto, Rabban gets thousands of soldiers to drop their pants in front of the palace and they defecate. A magnificent scene with 2000 extras all acting at once. That’s Rabban’s style of insulting someone. We sent the script to Charlotte Rampling. Before she had read it, she said, “I’ll do it”. But when she read that scene, she said, “I can’t be in a movie where a huge number of people are excreting”. She rejected it without understanding it. “I appear in movies that people can just watch normally.” She didn’t understand at all. I was disappointed.

The Warriors' Successes in Later Years 2:28

Brontis's Training 6:17
Jodorowsky: He’s passed away now, but he was truly a living encyclopedia. I found a person who was like a living encyclopedia and entrusted him with educating my son to be a mentat.

Vignau: I trained Brontis 6 hours a day every day for 2 years. From how to attack to how to defend, I taught him karate and Japanese martial arts. Punches, kicks, locks, pins, standing techniques, etcetera. A combination of karate, judo, aikido, and striking techniques. With this fusion of techniques, he would get on my shoulders, and while training the arms, I would train the legs.

Vignau: He was a child prodigy that sought perfection.

Vignau: Alejandro entrusted me with it because I was a former guard with a lot of experience. If it’s actual fighting, leave it to me. In order to allow the movie scenes to evolve, it became a place to experiment with integrating all aspects of martial arts. I wasn’t a fan of kung fu movies. Too many special effects for my taste. And too unrealistic as well. That was the first non-martial arts movie with martial arts in it. The martial arts in the movie which would do this for the first time would be performed by warriors of the past and warriors of the future. The far distant future is now almost the present. But martial arts has a history of about 5000 years. In the present, or 5000 years ago, or 5000 years from now, as long as people have two arms and two legs, the techniques will not change. They are future warriors.

To Make Movies Containing Spirit 2:36
Jodorowsky: It wasn’t simply a movie. It was a spiritual work. Perhaps I was out of my mind, but I was living insanely. The work which I wanted to create was an adventure for people around the world, containing mystical elements to spur some sort of transformation. Paul experiences a transformation, and my son expected the same. That was my intention. It was unusual to be sure, but if it was the environment I had, don’t you think I would have been able to have an impact on the world? If I had completed it.
