How To Cut Crosslap Joints With a Router

Here’s an alternate way to cut a basic woodworking joint – the crosslap joint – with a router. This method is useful in situations like this, where the joint is too large to be cut with a table saw or circular saw.

The depth required for these crosslap joints meant that the common table saw or circular saw techniques wouldn’t work (and I didn’t trust myself to make that many perfectly straight cuts with a hand saw). In this video, I'll show how to cut a crosslap joint using a router instead.
